Parenting Advice
Need a little parenting advice? Tired and frustrated of struggling over the same old problems with the kids? Just
one suggestion can often turn a mother's frown into a smile of relief.
Let's begin with a general child rearing tip. Consider child rearing with love, logic and play in mind. The logical part of this approach means that the child must clearly understand what his parents expect of him. He must understand the consequences, good or bad, of his behavior.
The love part of this approach means that the parents must communicate their love for the child, plainly, in word and action. Play refers to the fact that parents need to protect and enhance their children's need for play by seeing to it that they are not influenced to grow up too fast by, for example, watching adult movies. What's more, television, and video-computer games neet to be limited to about an hour per day or less to prevent their interference with play and learning.
The goal of this approach is a child who, not only loves and
respects others, but one who takes responsibility for her actions and possesses a joy for learning and a zest for life.
The following parenting tips will, hopefully, prove helpful toward attaining this objective.
